Keepin' it simple

Updated: Feb 24

As humans, we can tend to complicate everything. Which is kind of a part of the fun, right? Kind of a part of the whole experience? Well, sometimes. But in these moments below, i’ve found that it’s simplicity that saves us. Because let’s be honest, all of this overcomplicating can sometimes feel like we are drowning… and a life raft is needed. Over thinking? —> get into your body. So, this means, movement, somatic exercises, tapping, walking, running, yoga, surfing, dancing, etc.Whatever floats your sinking boat.

Anxious—> slow down. And there’s a great way is to sync your rhythm to Earth’s rhythm…that glorious 7.8 hz frequency that is Earth’s literal heartbeat…. go lay in the grass or dirt. Thank me later. Nothing seems to be moving? —> look at where there is resistance and clean it up. This can be as simple as cleaning your car, or fixing something you’ve been putting off. Clean up the cracks in the foundation, plug the holes at the bottom of your sinking boat, and watch how things may start to move again.

Not at peace? —→ practice forgiveness. Look at where you need to be right and be willing to let it go, and be shown another way. Which leads right into the next one… Confused, sad, worried, literally anything that feels overwhelming —> Pray. Literally talk to God about it. Or, if “The universe” is your daddy and the Earth is your mama, talk to them. Just talk to a greater and higher force about it. In my experience, you will be supported when you do this, but not always in your way or on your timing. don’t know what to do/trying to figure it all out? —> create space to listen. Get into a meditation practice, observe all the mental chatter until you’re able to find the space in-between your thoughts. In that space, answers, clarity and ideas can come- especially if you’re praying or dropping intentions into that space.

Something not going your way? —> practice non-resistance. Just allow it, and trust there’s a reason why. You will save so much energy by not fighting it, and then you can choose your response. Have something to say? —> sit with it until you can speak it from a clear place. If you still wanna say it after you’ve found your center, say it with your chest. Say it with your full heart.

Want to do something? —> take one small action toward it. What’s the very next step? You don’t need all the steps all at once. If you’re meant to continue, the next steps will appear. no energy? —> look at the body the same way you would look at a boat’s motor. Do you need fuel? What kind of fuel are you giving yourself? What are you consuming?…not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Take care of your vehicle, aka your vessel. Create a simple morning and night routine that supports you in opening and closing your day. Live in Integrity- line up what you do, say, think and who you are. Have them all work together as one.

and the most simple of all, take some deep breaths, drink a lot of quality water, and LOVE YOURSELF AND ANOTHER.That’s all for now, hope this helps! <3 Please note: these are my opinions and experiences. We may all have different things that work for us.
